diagnostics for children and adults with autism.
The focus of Autism Treatment Center (ATC) in this endeavor is to expand services to help
meet the growing needs of individuals with autism by offering outpatient therapy, family education and support, and diagnostic services. ATC currently provides residential, educational, and employment services, but will expand to provide outpatient services to the community.
ATC is conducting market research to determine how to best serve individuals with autism and
provide needed support to families of children and adults with autism. One task identified
for market research is input from pediatricians and child psychiatrists regarding referral
patterns and service needs of children with autism. This market research is being conducted
via three surveys—one for pediatricians and one for child psychiatrists. A third
parent/professional survey was developed to collect feedback on service needs from parents
and professionals who provide care and services to individuals with autism.
