More than ever before, your gift makes a difference
More children are being diagnosed with autism. By now you may have heard that autism currently affects 1 in 59 children, up 86% from 1 in 110 just a decade ago. More children with autism means more adults with autism, and a need for more education, therapy, residential, and vocational programs that help them live as independently as possible.
The Autism Treatment Center is providing more services. As the number of children, adults and families affected by autism has grown, so has the number of children and adults served by the Autism Treatment Center, from 300 in 2009 to 928 this past year – an amazing increase of 209% in a 10-year period! Not only are we serving more individuals from every corner of Texas, we are offering a greater variety of programs, participating in groundbreaking research, and training future professionals to work on the front lines of autism treatment.
Your donation helps us do even more! When you donate to the Autism Treatment Center, you make it possible for more children and adults with autism to access treatment that improves their ability to learn, play, work, and live in the community. Your contribution helps bridge the gap between public funding and the actual cost to deliver high-quality, effective care. Last year alone, that gap was over $750,000 for essential services - medical appointments, therapy sessions, one-on-one staffing, and protective equipment – not covered by any funding source but critical to the health, safety, and progress of the children and adults entrusted to our care.
Want to do 7% more? All you have to do is make your donation through the Champions fore Charity fundraiser and ATC receives a guaranteed 7% match from the Valero Texas Open plus an opportunity to receive thousands more in bonus funds. Simply donate online at www.tinyurl.com/ChampionsforAutism. It’s just one more way you can help us do more!
Sincerely,
Anna Hundley
